The Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations aims to achieve actionable, impactful and excellent research and discovery, focused on work that benefits organisations and the public good, and which contributes to economic, social and cultural vitality and peaceful relations between people and their communities. Our strong interests and track record of research are consistent with the University’s long-standing commitment to research that makes an impact on society and improves the way we live.
Defining Themes -
-Integrated peace building: Working with conflict affected communities to address their challenges of peace building and reconstruction;
-Living side by side: Working with communities challenged by disparity, diversity and disconnection – developing and supporting policy and practice which promotes social cohesion and wellbeing;
-Trust : Enabling trust building and restoration within both communities and organisations to create more effective and resilient individuals, and better performing, more sustainable organisations.
Our research clusters undertake significant and rigorous research which offer original insights and expand thinking through local, national and international perspectives. As part of a cross-disciplinary research environment, our clusters encourage and support collaborative research which reflects the Centre’s current interests, and provides a framework for joint research and funding applications. We have expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and have extensive experience in delivering research projects in real life situations.
