Core competencies

Crime&tech (C&T) is the spin-off company of Università Cattolica Sacro Cuore (UCSC) – Transcrime
(www.crimetech.it). C&T translates Transcrime research into advanced data analytics tools for private and
public institutions to better investigate, assess and early-detect security and crime risks (e.g. organised and
financial crime, property crime). C&T employs the latest technological developments in the field of artificial
intelligence, data crawling, semantic and spatial analysis, SNA. It uses advanced methodologies to gather and
process information (e.g. official statistics, judicial files, open sources, big data, transaction data). C&T
outputs consist in toolkits and applications (e.g. dashboards, interactive maps, risk indicators and models,
datasets, training modules). C&T partners and clients include United Nations, LEAs, AROs, Custom authorities,
Technology and data providers, Private industry (e.g. security and procurement departments) and civil society
(e.g. journalists and NGOs).
