Core competencies

As part of the Cyber security strategy of Germany, the Central Office for Information Technology in the Security Sector
(ZITiS) takes on a central role in the research and development of solutions, methods, tools, and comprehensive
strategies for improving domestic security. The work of ZITiS is tailored to the needs of German security organizations
and covers the fields of digital forensics, lawful interception, cryptanalysis, and big data analysis. ZITiS carries out
research in collaboration with research institutions, security agencies and enterprises, and takes part in the scientific
discourse worldwide. ZITiS is an active partner in several national and international research projects.
