Core competencies

Clotho AI is a French start-up which specialises in the development of AI systems applied to critical applications.

Machine Learning is becoming more prevalent in fields where they can have major societal implications. Such
techniques also show great promise in the field of Forensic Science, where they can be used to complement or
automate tasks currently performed by human experts, included but not limited to fingerprint identification or
skeletal assessments. Unlike other fields, the application of Machine Learning to Forensic Science raises a particular
issue, which is the admissibility of the output of such algorithms in a court of justice

Clotho AI establishes itself in the field of Forensic Science with the development of scientific evidence analysis
algorithms.Clotho AI develops transparent and reliable solutions for decision-making in this area.We have already
demonstrated the potential of AI applied to forensic analyses by developing an algorithm boasting a 92.5% accuracy
for sex assessment and 97.5% for ancestry assessment on skeletal remains.

Our interdisciplinary team of doctors was formed during our Marie Curie PhDs (MSCA ITN), funded by the European
Commission under the aegis of the INTREPID Forensics project.
We develop an international network of academic and professional partners.
Our core skills are Mathematics, Physics, Forensics and reliable AI.
